President Bush Discusses NSA Surveillance Program
President Bush on Thursday said, "After September the 11th, I vowed to
the American people that our government would do everything within the
law to protect them against another terrorist attack. As part of this
effort, I authorized the National Security Agency to intercept the
international
communications of people with known links to al Qaeda and related
terrorist organizations. In other words, if al Qaeda or their
associates are making calls into the United States or out of the United
States, we want to know what they're saying."

drug bills, and that's good news. This is a plan that helps people when

low-income folks won't have to choose between food and medicine. And

Bush on Tuesday said, "The good news for the people of Florida is
they've got people who are willing to serve and willing to put their
lives at risk and willing to fight fires. There's one going on right
now, as we speak. Kelley was briefing us on the equipment and manpower
that's in place fighting the fire. This is one of these difficult
periods for the state of Florida, dealing with the traumatic
conditions, as they are."
