As a part of my Latham Fellowship at the Illinois Institute of Design (IID) I was recently interviewed by Kristin Gecan for the With Intent podcast. Here’s how Kristin described it:
As he explains:
This data-driven world that we find ourselves living in is very, very limited in what it can offer us politically, what it can offer us creatively. And that, I think, really requires us to embrace the darkness as the best thing the future can be.
He also discusses systemic bias, the value of small talk, his appreciation for Rebecca Solnit, Naomi Klein, and Milton Friedman, and how his work brings provocation and action together.
